Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how WorthSpent handles information when you use the WorthSpent application, website, and related services. WorthSpent is designed to help you plan spending, scan receipts, organize transactions, and review eligible lifestyle purchases through the WorthWise feature.
1.Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the WorthSpent iOS application, the WorthSpent website, and related services offered by Dexter E. Docallas (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It describes the categories of information that may be processed when you use WorthSpent, including the WorthWise purchase-review feature.
WorthSpent is designed as a private, local-first personal finance organization tool. It does not require creating an online account and does not require a bank connection.
2.Information You Provide
You may choose to enter or create information such as:
- Income, recurring bills, essential spending, and savings goals
- Lifestyle purchases, merchants, categories, amounts, dates, notes, and related transaction details
- Receipt images you capture or select
- WorthWise review responses such as satisfaction, usefulness, willingness to buy again, priority alignment, notes, and related purchase-value information
- App preferences, including notification preferences, receipt-image retention preferences, and optional device-authentication settings
You control what information you enter. WorthSpent does not ask for banking credentials and does not treat entered financial amounts as bank login information.
3.Information Processed by the App
WorthSpent may process information locally on your device to operate features such as Lifestyle Allowance calculations, transaction organization, receipt recognition results, WorthWise scores, Value Rate, Purchase Success Rate, Regret Cost, Value Retention, cost per use, Spending Lessons, and “Can I Spend This?” estimates.
These calculations are for personal organization and informational purposes. They depend on the information available in the app and may be incomplete or inaccurate if the underlying entries are incomplete or incorrect.
4.Receipt Scanning and Images
When you scan or import a receipt, WorthSpent may use on-device text recognition to suggest details such as merchant name, date, totals, line items, and other receipt text. Recognition results may be inaccurate. You should review and correct extracted data before relying on it.
If you choose to keep a receipt image, it may be stored with the related transaction on your device. Recognized text may also be stored with the transaction. You can delete receipt images for individual transactions or remove stored receipt images in Settings. Deleting a receipt image does not necessarily remove previously extracted text associated with that transaction.
5.Financial Information
Financial information in WorthSpent consists of information you enter or derive through app features, such as budgets, allowances, transactions, reviews, and local insights. WorthSpent does not require a bank connection and does not currently include bank-account linking or credential-based bank access.
Entered amounts, categories, and notes are not payment-card numbers or banking passwords. Do not enter secrets you do not want stored in the app’s local data.
6.Purchases and Subscriptions
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple may process payment information according to Apple’s own terms and privacy practices. WorthSpent may receive transaction status, entitlement status, product information, and purchase verification results needed to determine subscription access.
WorthSpent does not receive your complete payment-card details from Apple. Subscription management, billing, cancellation, and eligible refund requests are handled through your Apple account and Apple’s systems.
7.Notifications
If you enable notifications, WorthSpent may schedule local notifications on your device for purposes such as bill reminders, review reminders, and other in-app reminder features you turn on. WorthSpent does not currently use remote push-notification services in the shipping app code reviewed for this policy.
You can control notification preferences in WorthSpent Settings and in iOS Settings. Disabling system permission stops delivery of local notifications that require that permission.
8.Device Permissions
Depending on how you use WorthSpent, the app may request:
- Camera — to capture receipts when you choose scan features
- Photo Library — only when you choose an existing receipt image to import
- Notifications — to deliver local reminders you enable
- Face ID / device authentication — only if you enable the optional app lock feature that uses LocalAuthentication to protect access to the app on your device
You can revoke camera, photo, notification, and Face ID permissions in iOS Settings. Features that depend on a permission may stop working until the permission is restored.
9.Local Storage and Optional Synchronization
In the current app implementation reviewed for this policy, WorthSpent stores app data locally on your device using on-device storage (including SwiftData). CloudKit / iCloud synchronization is not enabled in the current build, even if related settings appear as coming soon.
Apple device backups may include app data according to your Apple ID and device backup settings. If you delete WorthSpent from a device, local app data on that device is typically removed with the app, but backups, shared exports, or copies you previously created may remain until you delete them separately.
10.Website Information
The WorthSpent website is a public marketing and legal-information site. It does not currently provide account creation, waitlists, newsletter signup forms, or first-party analytics SDKs in the website project reviewed for this policy.
When you visit the website, the hosting or delivery provider that serves the pages may process ordinary technical request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time for security, reliability, and delivery purposes. We do not currently operate a separate first-party cookie consent banner because the site does not implement first-party analytics or account cookies.
11.Third-Party Services
Based on review of the current WorthSpent iOS source code and package dependencies, WorthSpent does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
WorthSpent does rely on Apple platform services that may involve network communication, including App Store / StoreKit purchase and entitlement services when you buy, restore, or manage a subscription. Opening external links (such as this Privacy Policy, these Terms, or Apple subscription management pages) uses the device’s normal link handling.
Apple’s processing of purchase and platform data is governed by Apple’s applicable terms and privacy disclosures.
12.How Information Is Used
Information processed by WorthSpent is used to:
- Provide spending-planning, receipt, transaction, and review features
- Generate local calculations and insights, including WorthWise related metrics
- Deliver reminders you enable
- Support optional device lock features you enable
- Process App Store subscription entitlements through Apple
- Respond to privacy or support requests you send by email
- Operate and improve the website’s delivery and security
13.Data Sharing
WorthSpent does not sell personal information.
Information may be disclosed:
- To Apple when needed for App Store purchases, restores, entitlements, and related platform services
- To service providers actually used to host or deliver the website, who process technical request information as part of ordinary hosting
- To comply with law, regulation, or valid legal process
- To protect users, the developer, or the service from fraud, abuse, or security threats
- As part of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar business transfer, if applicable, subject to appropriate safeguards
Because core app financial data is stored locally on your device in the current implementation, WorthSpent does not operate a developer-hosted user-account database for your transactions.
14.Data Retention
Local app data generally remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, delete receipt images, delete all app data in Settings, or remove the app. There is no separate developer-operated retention schedule for on-device transaction data because that data is not stored on a WorthSpent account server in the current implementation.
If you contact us by email, we may retain the communication content needed to respond to your request and keep ordinary records of the correspondence.
Apple may retain purchase and subscription records according to Apple’s practices.
15.Your Choices and Controls
Depending on the feature, you may:
- Edit transactions and WorthWise reviews
- Delete individual transactions
- Delete receipt images or delete all app data where supported in Settings
- Control whether newly scanned receipt images are kept
- Disable notifications in WorthSpent or iOS Settings
- Revoke camera, photo, notification, and Face ID permissions in iOS Settings
- Enable or disable the optional app lock feature
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account

16.Data Export and Deletion
WorthSpent Settings include an export option that can create a CSV file of transaction-related information for sharing through the system share sheet. The export focuses on transaction fields such as dates, merchants, amounts, categories, notes, and review-related fields. It does not include receipt image files.
Settings also include controls to delete stored receipt images and to delete app data. Delete All Data removes transactions, reviews, plans, bills, goals, and resets profile planning fields, and cancels scheduled local notifications. Some on-device configuration such as category seed data may remain. Subscription status remains controlled by Apple and is not permanently removed merely by deleting local app data.
Deleting the app from your device typically removes local app storage on that device. Backups and previously exported files may remain until you delete them separately.
17.Children’s Privacy
WorthSpent is a general-audience personal finance application and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support channel, contact us so the issue can be reviewed.
WorthSpent does not implement a separate age-verification workflow in the current app.
18.International Users
Users may access WorthSpent from different countries or regions. Mandatory local privacy rights may apply depending on where you live. This policy is intended to describe current product behavior clearly; it is not a claim of comprehensive compliance with every privacy statute worldwide.
If you have a privacy request, contact us using the details below and we will review it in light of applicable law and the data actually available to us.
19.Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a local-first consumer application, including on-device storage for core financial records in the current implementation and an optional device-authentication lock. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can reduce risk by using a device passcode or biometrics, keeping iOS updated, carefully handling exported files, and enabling the optional WorthSpent lock feature if available on your device.
20.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when WorthSpent’s features, storage behavior, third-party services, or legal requirements change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of WorthSpent after an update means you should review the revised policy.
